What PC requirements do I need to run GSPro?
What PC requirements do I need to run GSPro:
With all the combinations of specs and prebuilt PCs, it can be hard finding what specs may be able to run GSPro. Below I’ll be going over some common (And uncommon) specs for PCs found on the market today and how they may perform with GSPro.
PC Configuration:
Before viewing the different specs listed to run GSPro, it’s important to note that same specs listed for a laptop configuration are different than their desktop counterparts. Depending on the configuration you’re looking for, skip to the Desktop/Laptop portion of this guide.
Desktop Specs:
In my opinion, the desktop configuration offers the best value to utilize GSPro. With more powerful versions of the specs listed as well as easy replacement of parts, this configuration offers some undeniable advantages. Below are the specs required to run GSPro at 1080p, 1080p Ultra, and 4K Ultra.
Graphics Card:
For a 1080p Uninterrupted Experience:
RTX 3060
RX 6600
RX 6700-XT
RTX 4060
For a 1080p Ultra Uninterrupted Experience:
RTX 3060-Ti
RX 6800-XT
RX 6800
RTX 4060-Ti
RTX 3070
RTX 3070-Ti
For a 4K Ultra Uninterrupted Experience:
RTX 3080
RTX 4070
RX 6900-XT
RX 7900-XT
RTX 3080-Ti
RTX 3090
RTX 4070-Ti
RTX 4070 Super
RTX 4070-Ti Super
RTX 4080
RTX 4080 Super
RTX 4090
RAM:
Below, I’ll recommend the GB amount for each experience. Both DDR4 and DDR5 will work. (DDR5 may just offer slightly faster course loading times) DDR3 likely will work as well, but may be incompatible with the motherboards needed for the above GPUs. For this reason, I’m leaving DDR3 omitted.
For a 1080p Uninterrupted Experience:
16GB of DDR4/DDR5 RAM
For a 1080p Ultra Uninterrupted Experience:
16GB of DDR4/DDR5 RAM
For a 4K Ultra Uninterrupted Experience:
32GB of DDR4/DDR5 RAM
CPU:
Both Intel and Ryzen utilize separate naming structures for their different CPUs. They are divided into the below components:
(i5 = brand performance model) (12xxx = the generation/architecture improvements for the base model CPU) (xx700 = smaller performance/power improvements within the same generation) (K = an additional use case specified for the chip) Example: i5 12700K (This CPU is the 12th generation of the i5 chip with some power/architecture improvements, and unlocked overclocking)
(Ryzen 7 = brand performance model) (5xxx = the generation/architecture improvements for the base model CPU) (x800 = smaller performance/power improvements within the same generation) (X/XFR = an additional use case specified for the chip) Example Ryzen 7 5800X (This CPU is the 5th generation of the Ryzen 7 chip with improved power/architecture improvements, and an extended frequency range)
GSPro isn’t too CPU intensive. For this reason, I won’t be displaying anything past the brand performance model. (Feel free to use the above guide for further understanding about your specific CPU in mind.
For a 1080p Uninterrupted Experience:
i5/Ryzen 5
For a 1080p Ultra Uninterrupted Experience:
i5/Ryzen 5
Depending on if other applications need to be running at the same time, an i7/Ryzen 7 may be recommended
For a 4K Ultra Uninterrupted Experience:
i7/Ryzen 7
Depending on if other applications need to be running at the same time, and i9/Ryzen 9 may be recommended
Storage/Misc Requirements:
Port and connectivity requirements in your PC will really come down to the launch monitor you want to pair with GSPro. GSPro requires an internet connection upon startup each time it’s launched to validate your license key. Online Play and other Online features will also require an internet connection. If you’re looking to utilize a launch monitor with a WiFi connection, you may want to check that your PC has an Ethernet port to connect directly into or an additional WiFi adapter if wired isn’t an option.
GSPro requires at least 10GB of storage. For higher experiences such as the 1080p Ultra or 4K Ultra, we recommend a total of 20GB minimum. Each course downloaded in GSPro is around 1GB of storage. So depending on how many courses you want to have installed at once, that required storage will scale up.
Other Components:
With everything above accounted for, the rest is up to you! If you’re building the PC yourself, make sure to calculate the required power your PSU needs for your system. At higher rated specs such as the Ryzen 9 and RTX 4090, cooling is also something to be diligent of. (Not just for GSPro)
Laptop Configuration:
While I don’t personally prefer my laptop to my desktop configuration when running GSPro, a good laptop can certainly offer some good advantages. The top advantage being mobility. Since GSPro can only be applied to one PC at a time, using a laptop in multiple locations may be key to your plan. Below are the specs required to run GSPro at 1080p, 1080p Ultra, and 4K Ultra.
Graphics Card:
For a 1080p Uninterrupted Experience:
RTX 3070
RTX 3070-Ti

A great (Or bad depending on the PC) feature for laptops is that it comes prebuilt ready to go. As long as your desired components from the above are selected, that laptop will be built to work with those components. The other components and style or the laptop are then up to you!
