Article summary

Visual Settings:

The Visual Settings menu will control many of the global locations of certain UI as well as control some other camera related items. These settings are separated into three sub tabs.

User Interface:

Enable Gimme Circle: When enabled, a visual will show around the pin defining your gimme circle size. Turning it off does NOT negate a gimmie from happening. It just visually turns it off on your screen.

Show Aim Indicator: While aiming you can optionally turn on/off the large billboard type aim indicator. The aim indicator will be a Red framed box verses the indicator for the pin location, which is a white framed box.

Show Ball Ready Indicator: When enabled, this option will change the white arrows adjacent to the ball green to indicate that your launch monitor is ready to register a new shot.

  • (Available in the Public Beta V3.0.5.19) Hide User Interface On Ready: Made available by selecting the above, you can instead force GSPro to hide all UI on screen to indicate that your launch monitor is ready to register a new shot.

Distance Display: A small window can be shown that displays distance next to and slightly below the ball on the game screen while it is in motion. Enabling this option turns it on. Then select either distance to the pin (count down) or distance you hit the ball (count up).

Scorecard After Hole: The amount of time the scorecard will display between holes. If left at zero, the scorecard will not be displayed between holes.

Hide User Interface On Shot: Selecting this will hide all the UI on the screen when a shot is made. The only thing shown is the Golf Course, nothing else. This results in a very immersive experience.

Show Up Next Message: This is an optional visual effect which will display the name of the next player to hit.

Match Settings Condensed View (Beta): This Beta option allows you to condense all of the Match Settings options into cells for potential easier viewing.

Hide Distance Banner On Green: This turns on/off the banner when your ball reaches the green.

Show Simulator Golf Tour Leaderboard: Similar to “Scorecard After Hole”, this option displays a leaderboard of other players in the same SGT event you are participating in.

Show Club Selector: A small UI is displayed on the bottom left/right side of your screen that actively lets you know what club is selected in GSPro. Here, you can alternate this UI to show always, be hidden always, or hide automatically when a shot is taken.

Narrow UI Mode: If you utilize a 1:1 aspect ratio in your simulator setup or text seems a little scrambled. This option will help keep the UI looking clean and legible on screen.

Disable Main Menu Video: This setting will turn off the video in the background of the main menu, and set a still image instead.

Camera Options:

Follow Camera: The default is for this to be turned on. Sliding the slider will adjust how soon the camera takes off after the ball takes flight. Disabling this will result in the ball flying down the fairway (we hope LOL) and your view remaining in the location you struck it at, just like in real life golf.

Hole Intro Fly To Animation: This adds a bit of visual pizazz to the transition between holes. When turned on it will float you up above the tee box and down towards your hitting location. Giving you a view of the entire hole. Likewise, you can also select “Green to Tee” and it will also fly you from the green you just putted out on to the next Tee box.

(NEW in the Latest Stable V3.0.3.2) Flyover Settings: This option allows you to manually customize how fast or slow, and how high or low the camera is when perform a flyover on course.

(Available in the Public Beta V3.0.5.22) Disable MiniMap Points Of Interest: In version 3.0.5.22, new dots were input on the MiniMap during play. These dots represent the front/back of green, and hazards. If you’d like, you can disable those dots from populating with this setting.

Ball Trail Color: The default color for this setting is red. If the color doesn’t work for your setup, you can choose Blue, Green, Yellow, or turn it off altogether with “None”.

Ball Trail Size: The trails can be made to be standard or thick. Some simulator setups make the ball trail difficult to see and this should help in that regard.

(Available in the Public Beta V3.0.5.13) Disable Gradient Fog: Some AMD based GPUs can struggle with the gradient fog in GSPro creating white outlines on textures where they shouldn’t be. This will disable the gradient fog, and should help resolve the visual bug.

(Available in the Public Beta V3.0.5.9) Ghost Shot Speed: Moving this slider will change the speed the Ghost player will take their shot on their “turn”.

(NEW in the Latest Stable V3.0.3.2) Draw Distance: With this slider, you’re able to adjust how far/close GSPro renders textures.

Offset:

Screen Offset: There are some folks whose room and Simulator configurations require them to have to hit off center of their screens. This creates a very strange visual effect. Hitting the ball into the side of the screen and the ball launching in the middle of the screen. To correct that, the game can slide, or “Off Set” the middle ball line either to the left or right, depending on your setup. This requires a bit of math if you measure in inches and feet. To use this, click on the slider below “screen Offset” to Enable it. Enter in the width of your screen and then if the amount of Offset needed for either Left or Right-handed players. Convert all numbers to millimeters.

Putting Screen Offset: There are some users who may only need to create this offset while putting. To accommodate this, a putting only offset has been added. Allowing the offset to only change when the putter is selected.

NOTE: For a quick and easy offset adjustment, we’d recommend loading into the Practice Range and pressing the “L” keyboard shortcut key. This will allow you to adjust your offset live on course and match your line with the center driving range line.
