Article summary

Game:

Welcome to the Game Settings tab. This menu will control many of the functions for your “In Game” experience. In our newest version, we’ve separated these functions into four of their own sub tabs. Below we’ll go over where to locate each setting, and what it does.

Game:

Units: This setting changes your global measurement from Metric or Imperial (meters or yards)

Altitude/Elevation: You can set the altitude of your location to get an accurate result of your golf shots comparable to your actually playing location.

MiniMap Location: Can be set to either lower LEFT or lower RIGHT.

Player Rotation Style: There are 3 distinct setting here:

  • Classic - Play the hole in the normal rotation, furthest from the hole goes next

  • Play Out Hole - Each player will keep playing their ball until it reaches the green. This will continue until all players are on the green. Then the furthest putt away will begin and all players will putt out, with the furthest from the hole going next

  • Putt Out - Each player will play from tee to holing out before the next it is the next players turn.

Use LM Carry: On or Off (default is off and should remain off unless there are specific needs otherwise)

Realism:

Realism: these settings allow you to adjust how forgiving GSPro Plays. There are various settings for how much side spin effects your ball flight (hooks and slices), how terrain penalties effect your ball (deep rough, etc)  as well as distances (power boosting).

Ball Shape / Curvature: (SLIDER) from “Restricted -to- “Full”. This slider effects how the ball spin reported by the Launch Monitor actually effects the flight of the ball. Full is the default setting and is the most realistic. Restricted will reduce the effect of side spin the most. Sliding the setting will allow you to adjust the setting to the desired sweet spot.

Play Mode: can be set to Realistic or Casual

Realistic: Is the default setting which uses the all the launch monitor data and uses GSPro ball flight algorithms

Casual: Allows for some “Boost” in power to be added to the shots taken. You can limit the shot boost to driver only if desired. This slider is adjustable from “None” through “2x”

System:

Course Folder: This defaults to the Courses folder in the GSPro installation location (c:\gsprov1\core\gspro\courses\). If you have an alternate location, a second drive, etc. You can move the location to your other drives.

Control Type: This allows you to switch between “Simulator” and “Mouse”. Mouse mode allows you to play GSPro using your mouse to play.

On Screen Keyboard (Beta): This setting overlays an on screen keyboard that can be used with only a mouse needed.

Activate Course Server: If you’ve been given a course server from a course designer, you will include it to your existing library of course libraries here.

Clear Cache: GSPro has an internal cache that stores game, course and system data. There are times when this cache needs to be cleared. For example, when you load up a new version of a course manually. Clearing the cache will ‘clear’ out any stored information of the old course with the same name and force the system to load up the new version you just installed.

Reload Courses: GSPro loads up the list of available courses when it begins. If by chance you added another course manually or added another course server to your list, you can force GSPRo to reload without having to restart the entire application.

Reset GSPro Connect: At times the “Connect” app can malfunction or not respond properly. Without having to restart the entire application, this will allow a fresh launch of the “Connect” app.

Download Latest Stable: If you have downloaded the Public Beta and would like to return to the current “stable” version. Clicking this button will do so upon the next start up of GSPro. The current stable version is the production version that all users get upon startup by default.

Download Public Beta: You are welcome to try an upcoming version of GSPro which is called “Public Beta”. It allows you to get a peek at the next upcoming release prior to the general public. There can be issue or bugs so keep that in mind. If you participate in the “Public Beta” please report any and all bugs or issue to Support.

Sounds:

GSPro Sounds: This slider will change the volume of in game sounds such as the ball landing on the ground, the ball falling into the hole, and more sounds included directly in GSPro. (These sounds may vary on each course)

Course Sounds: This slider will change the volume for course specific sounds such as wind, birds, flies, and more.

Menu Sounds: This slider will change the volume for menu sounds such as the menu music, and interactive clicking above buttons.

Master: This slider will change the total volume for all sounds in GSPro.
